Trial mechanics

The 7-day Premium trial — banner, days-remaining chip, what locks when it expires, locked snapshots that preserve your settings, and the redeem flow that converts a paid plan onto your existing setup.

When you sign up you automatically get a 7-day Premium trial — full Premium feature set, no card required. The trial is one-off per email; you can't re-trigger it by signing up again. The platform surfaces the trial state in three places:

  1. Trial banner at the top of the chart terminal — shows days remaining and a one-click upgrade button.
  2. Trial chip in the top toolbar — same info, condensed.
  3. Account page — the Trial card shows the full state including what locks at expiry.

During the trial

You have full Premium access — every Premium-tier indicator, every Premium-tier scanner, every signal feed. The trial does NOT include Master / Ultimate tier features. The Custom Script editor opens but with the Ultimate-required engine locked.

Days remaining display

  • >3 days — banner amber.
  • 3-1 days — banner amber with warning icon.
  • <24 hours — banner red; chip pulses (the one allowed pulse animation on the platform).

What happens at expiry

The platform does NOT delete or reset your work. Instead it creates a locked snapshot:

  • Every Premium indicator you had enabled is paused but preserved — same panels, same settings, but the indicator can't recompute until you re-subscribe.
  • Layouts you saved still exist; opening a layout with Premium indicators shows the panes greyed out with a "Upgrade to resume" overlay.
  • Custom scripts you wrote are preserved; the editor opens read-only until you upgrade.
  • Alerts you armed continue firing on Free-tier indicators; Premium-indicator alerts pause until you re-subscribe.

The lock is non-destructive — upgrade and everything resumes exactly where it was.

Redeem a paid plan

The "Upgrade" CTA on the trial banner takes you to the Plans & billing dialog. Pick a tier; the new plan activates instantly and the locked snapshot resumes. Your settings, layouts, scripts, and alerts come back to life.

Trial-pre-redemption snapshot

We snapshot your settings once at the moment your trial activates — so that if you set up the perfect workspace during the trial and forget to upgrade in time, the snapshot is still there to restore from when you do upgrade later. The snapshot includes:

  • All chart layouts.
  • Indicator panel state per layout.
  • Custom scripts.
  • Watchlist.
  • Alert configurations.

If you sign up, set everything up, let the trial expire, and come back six months later — the snapshot is still there.

Common pitfalls

  • Treating trial expiry as "lost work" — it's not lost; it's locked. Upgrade restores.
  • Trying to re-trigger trial with a new email — works once per email. Re-using an email that already had a trial blocks the trigger.
  • Trial banner blocking the chart — collapse with the X. Banner returns next page load until trial activates a plan or expires.
