RSI Trend Detect

Finds pairs in a sustained RSI-trend regime — RSI persistently above 50 (bull) or below 50 (bear) for N consecutive bars. Surfaces the symbols that are actually trending vs. chopping.

RSI Trend Detect filters for pairs in a sustained RSI-trend regime — RSI has held above 50 (or below 50) for a configurable number of consecutive bars. Trend-following strategies need a trending universe; this scanner identifies the symbols that are actually trending so you don't burn capital fading chop. Pair it with the Futures RSI Heatmap for a complete regime picture (which pairs are extreme vs. which are trending).

Filters

  • Trend direction — UP / DOWN / Both.
  • Min bars in trend — default 20. Higher = stricter; lower = catch earlier.
  • TF — multi-select.
  • Quote — USDT / USDC / etc.
  • Min 24h vol — illiquid filter.

How to read it

  • Strong trend = >50 bars on trend side + average RSI >65 (bull) / <35 (bear) — momentum likely to continue; pull-back entries high quality.
  • Just-flipped trend (bars in trend = min threshold) — early in the new regime; high R/R if the trend extends.
  • Trend on multiple TFs — multi-TF agreement is bonus confluence (cross-check with the heatmap).

Workflow

  1. Filter to UP trends, 20+ bars, 15m+ TF.
  2. Open the candidates in the chart; verify with EMA stack alignment.
  3. Wait for a Pullback RSI Signal on the same pair.
  4. Take the pullback in the trend's direction.

Common pitfalls

  • Min bars too low — picks up "trends" that are just 5-bar bursts. Use ≥ 20 for swing TFs.
  • Trading against the trend direction — counter-trend trades on a freshly-detected trending pair are statistical noise. Trade with the trend.
  • Hot pair without trend — Hot regime in Volume Scanner ≠ trending. Hot can be chop on big bars. Cross-check.
