AI explainer

Generate a written read on any USDⓈ-M signal — why it fired, what to watch for, exit considerations. Ultimate-only feature, context-aware (sees the chart, the source's indicator output, and recent market regime).

The AI explainer is the "second opinion" pane for any USDⓈ-M signal. Click the AI button in the detail dialog and get a written read — what the indicator triggered on, what market context surrounds the signal, what could invalidate it, and where to consider taking partial profits. It complements (does not replace) your own analysis. Ultimate-tier only.

AI explainer dialog

What it does

For any signal — live or closed — the AI assembles:

  • The indicator output that triggered the signal (e.g. for RSI Pullback: RSI value, MACD histogram state, trend filter direction).
  • The bars surrounding entry (last 50 bars before, 20 bars after for active/closed signals).
  • The market regime (trending / ranging, volatility class, BTC dominance trend).
  • The signal's risk:reward ratios (Entry → SL distance vs TP1/2/3 distances).
  • The source's recent performance on this symbol (last 10 signals win/loss).

Then synthesises a 3-5 paragraph read covering:

  1. Why it fired — the indicator condition that triggered, in plain English.
  2. What's supportive — context that reinforces the setup (e.g. "BTC trending up + signal is long-side").
  3. What's risky — context that argues against (e.g. "low 24h volume" or "approaching a known liquidity zone").
  4. Exit considerations — when to trail, where to take partial profits, what would invalidate.

When to use it

SituationAI explainer is useful when
You're new to the source.Walks you through what the indicator pattern actually means.
You have multiple active signals competing for capital.Compare reads side-by-side to pick which one(s) to size up.
A closed signal lost — and you want to understand why.Retrospective read on what went wrong (regime shift, news event, source weakness).
You want sanity-check before manually overriding autotrade."Should I close this early?" — read what the AI sees.

When NOT to use it

SituationWhy the AI is not your friend here
Hot-news scalps (FOMC, CPI, etc.).The AI doesn't see real-time news; it'll undercount news risk.
When you've already decided.Confirmation bias amplifier. If you've decided to take the signal, just take it.
To replace your own analysis.Treat as a second opinion only. You're the trader; the AI is a tool.

Hard rules

  • The AI never says "buy" or "sell" — it explains the signal that already fired, it does not generate fresh signals.
  • The AI never predicts price direction confidently. Statements like "BTC will reach $X" do not appear in output.
  • The AI never recommends position sizing in dollar terms — sizing is your decision based on your risk budget.
  • The AI always caveats with "this is not financial advice".

Sources of context

The AI sees:

SourceWhat it provides
Signal payloadSymbol, side, entry, SL, TP1/2/3, source, timeframe, generation reason.
Indicator output (source-specific)The numerical state of the indicator at entry.
OHLCV (last 100 bars before entry)Price action context.
Symbol 24h statsVolume, % change, mark price.
Market regime classifierTrend / range / volatility / BTC dominance trend.
Source recent performanceLast 10 signals from this source on this symbol with win/loss.

The AI does NOT see:

  • Your portfolio.
  • Your positions on this symbol (unless you explicitly share via AI Chat settings).
  • News headlines (no web access).
  • Other users' opinions.

Cost

AI explainer requests are rate-limited per plan:

PlanDaily quota
Ultimate (default)100 explainer requests / day.
Ultimate (higher quota)Higher tier on request — contact support.
Below UltimateFeature locked. Upgrade to access.

A small counter at the top of the dialog shows your remaining daily quota. Most users use 5-15 per day; 100 is a soft cap that catches accidental loops.

Latency

Typical generation time: 4-8 s. A spinner shows in the dialog. If a request takes > 30 s, it times out and the dialog shows a retry button.

  • Each explainer output is saved to the signal's detail dialog (re-opening the dialog re-shows the cached output for 24 h).
  • You can copy the markdown output to clipboard with the copy icon.
  • You CANNOT share an explainer with other users — it's per-account context.
