Detects pairs whose volume regime just transitioned — Quiet → Hot, climax bars, sudden bursts. Surfaces the symbols where something is happening before the price move is obvious.
The Volume Scanner watches the volume regime of every symbol in the universe and surfaces pairs where the regime just transitioned — Quiet pair going Hot, sudden climax bars, persistent above-average bursts. It's the early-warning system: by the time the price chart shows the move, the volume already knew. Useful for spotting low-float alts about to run and for catching breaking news symbols.

Regime definitions
| Regime | Definition |
|---|---|
| Quiet | Last 20 bars below the 30-day average bar size. |
| Normal | Within ±1 standard deviation of the 30-day average. |
| Hot | Last 5 bars averaging > 2× the 30-day average. |
| Climax | A single bar > 5× the 30-day average bar — usually news / liquidation. |
Filters
- Regime — multi-select (filter to Hot + Climax for the watchlist).
- Quote — USDT / USDC / etc.
- Min 24h vol — illiquid filter (Hot on a $10k pair is meaningless).
- TF — which TF the regime change must be on.
- Sector — Layer-1 / DeFi / Meme / Gaming / etc. (when classification available).
Workflow
- Filter to Climax only — see the biggest news / liquidation candidates.
- Star the survivors.
- Open Trades & Orders panel on the chart for context.
- If the move is technical (clean breakout, not just news flush), set an alert.
Common pitfalls
- Climax on micro-caps — often news pump that fully retraces. Cross-check with Liquidations by Exchange — if it's all venue-X liquidations, expect mean reversion.
- Hot regime without price moving — accumulation; price often follows.
- Reading without a TF filter — climax on 1m is noise; climax on 1H+ is meaningful.
