OI Patterns panel

Pairs where the open-interest vs. price relationship triggered one of the four canonical OI patterns (LONG BUILD, SHORT BUILD, SHORT COVER, LONG FLUSH). Same logic as the chart-level OI/CVD Pattern indicator, scanned across the universe.

The OI Patterns screener scans the symbol universe for pairs where the open-interest vs. price relationship triggered one of the four canonical OI/CVD patterns:

PatternRead
LONG BUILDNew longs opening; trend up confirmed.
SHORT BUILDNew shorts opening; trend down confirmed.
SHORT COVERShorts closing into buying; rally is weak.
LONG FLUSHLongs capitulating into selling; expect bounce.

The screener saves you from running the chart indicator across hundreds of pairs by hand — same detection, multi-symbol, one page.

Filters

  • Pattern — multi-select.
  • TF — multi-select.
  • Min OI change % — only show strong builds / unwinds.
  • Quote — USDT / USDC / etc.
  • Min 24h vol — illiquid filter.

Workflow

  1. Filter to LONG BUILD on 1H+ TF — find pairs with quality long bias.
  2. Cross-check the chart for entry zone (S/R, EMA pullback).
  3. Set alert or subscribe autotrade.

For shorts:

  1. Filter to SHORT BUILD on 1H+ TF.
  2. Same drill-down.

Common pitfalls

  • Trading SHORT COVER chips as bullish — they're weak rallies. Don't chase.
  • Treating every LONG BUILD as a buy — pattern says positioning agrees with direction; you still need entry confirmation.
  • Filter TF too short — 1m/5m patterns are noisy. Default to 15m+.
